oh my god, bev... what... hmmm i'm speechless... this "living doll"... reaching out for a feather... a try to write...?!? a try to draw...?!? those eyes seems to look interested... interesed in what...?!? not in those sompanions... not in the rope... it just seems to be the feather... and the rope... torn apart... oh - there'a lot to watch and see - a lot to think about... symbols...?!? i definitely like the graphic elements... very very faint... very pale but there... and quite strong... i love that... :) and - well ... no... no more words i guess... i'll just sit there and watch... :)) i love this - thank you so much for this one, dear bev... :) perhaps i'll add some more words later... for now i'll pic my coffe - deactivate the screensaver and look... :) thank you ! hugs... oh btw. i love those eyes... :) - oh well... concerning the title... i am not sure... it twists my mind even more... ;D

hugest hugs I think this one will well and truly stump me for good Bev ;-) I just can't describe what it does. All your work does this, but I can at least attempt some kind of response most of the time, whereas this, man, no way, I just have to give you the compliment of staying mute on this one! Powerful stuff my friend :-)

It is truly exciting for me to see you post one of your artistic works. They always evoke feelings which are most of the time completely different to each person viewing this. Your style is unmistakable and one of the things I adore about your work. Always amazing. ;)

What a wonderful and somewhat cryptic image. But what is capable of soothing or eliminating pain? Does the doll feel pain or does it alleviate it for others in a chain of events. Wonderfully done image. Excellent artwork. VOTE

To me, this is a subtle abstraction of our common reality... and each viewer can find their own meaning in the picture. I think this is a very imaginative and well-done image.

Beautiful work of art. I want to relate the anodyne effect you capture in you painting to my mom who has Alzheimer's Disease. I bought her a life-like baby doll to help her find comfort when she is agitated. She holds it, strokes it, talks to it, and I watch her face glow with contentment. The doll in your painting symbolically represents this experience with my mom. It is the object that mends (reaching for the broken rope), brings comfort and aliviates pain, and the sense of comfort relating to the sheltering of the insects with the hand. I get a sense of innocence being the key to harmony with nature. That's my POV. Hope it is acceptable to you Bev. Your technical quality is so superb. V

I'm amazed, and confused, and becoming really emotional as always before your art.. Your artistic skills are divine! --This must be one of the most tactile works from you. I really can feel the hard surface of a doll, and the extremely soft skin of a baby. This doll/baby brings tears in my eyes; this touches my soul so deeply. With her tiny soft hand she protects the bug from the hard world - but who'll protect her? She smiles forever - she has no choice there. --- In this image I see the same kind of theme of transformation as in so many of your pictures. It's a very comforting feeling to realise the possibility of change - they can't take your senses away for good; the child is there, always. Innocent, and vulnerable and yet so strong; going through the ages having the faith to those who stay there, those who migh be the tinest but can give disinterested love and affection. --- This picture has so much life in it! There's a whole world in it with endless stories; extremely moving. A masterpiece. An excursion to soul. Thank you so much, Bev, for sharing your art with us! :-)

What you do is simply stunning! It moves me! And this ray of light just behind the baby, like a big hope that everything is going to be okay...free from the earlier bound to the feather... Amazing touching and deep! Thank you for sharing! Have a great day!

Pure insanity. I feel some urgent thoughts running through my mind but that's just a mixture of fear and unbelief. Still I see there could be nothing wrong... everything's gonna be all right. ... Grab that rope! Damn it!!! :) Wonderfull work!
