Description

2D Forum April Theme: Flowers Another weird humanoid flower hybrid! As usual no explanations, just make of it what you will. Thanks to Cassie for initial input and the gang at the 2D Forum for helping me decide which version to post ;-) Created yesterday afternoon/evening in Photoshop CS and Painter 8. Thank you for taking a look and your feedback/critique is much appreciated :-)

Awesome Jim, your imagination runs wild, I love that. Have been away the whole day, but I will go to 2D forum and see what preceeded this one. Wonderful "flowerish" colors and warmth, weird but attractive.

Intestines is the first thing that comes to my mind here! A strange transparent being and I can see his/her intestines through his/her skin! Kinda yuk really but also a very moving image! It's the pose, so humble and almost begging but also maybe offering that bouquet of flowers....? Very intriguing and beautiful in its own way!

I love the abstraction here Jim, the way the flower & figure seem to morph into one another, lovely flowing composition & dramatic use of tone, ambiguous as always & beautiful in the most unsettling way! Great work ; )

Hi Jim! Sorry for not being around recently. I missed you all and your pics! This is an odd work even by your standards! All those collage-like organic folds are so open to interpretation, making it a visual tease. I love this sort of thing! I'm not sure if I would call it a "beautiful" work (always a subjective thing) but it is certainly an image that gives a powerful and lasting impression. Thanks for posting it!

The carrier transforms into the flowers he carries with him - so much he is in love with them! This is such a beautiful work, Jim! I see there so much love, and caring - and yet some pain that makes this all so complete. Very creative; your imagination makes me feel so good! :-)

This one is tripping me out! What a bizarre mixture your mind has concocted in this image. I love it man, it shows that your minds eye is in overdrive!
