Description

this is just a study of a snow storm. I never was in one I just saw a little snow fall. I watch them on t.v. and in the movies. To make snow in bryce you need to use the blue dot. I put in my own texture instilled the blue dot. [ more to making snow that just the blue dot got to use the material editor too] I was trying to made a storm that looks real. Please tell me if this how a snow storm look. You can tell the truth I do not mind. to me it looks more of Van Gogh brushs movements [not his colors here]

Most excellent, looks like a well executed artistic representation of a swirling windy snow storm. Bravo! V

The snow is a great artistically surreal interpretation of snow, and works here, but if you want to make realistic snow storms, there are plenty of rain/snow tutorials out there plus the trove of knowledge in the Bryce forum. Overall, nice work.

Well, to be honest I thought of Van Gogh first and foremost when I saw this.

Is it (this) not a pretension, to compare itself, publicly, with Van Gogh ???...

Wahnfried1959 I not saying I am like Van Gogh just the way the snow looks and next to "Stary night" the paintbrush marks just reminds me of the swirls; that all

Looks like a snow storm to me. Not the real heavy dark kind but the kind where it is kind of bright out, the snow isn't too heavy, and the wind can blow it around in little whirlpools. Love the bone snowman, if he stands still he will be covered with snow and filled out pretty quick! Great job!

I've been in snowstorms and this doesn't look like any I've been in, but I LOVE IT! The colors and the movement are wonderful! (The Skeleton is odd, but I'm odd, so I like that too!) Also, While I don't think this looks like a snowstorm, it sure does FEEL like a snowstorm, and to me thats much more difficult to achieve. Any fool with a camera can show you what a snowstorm looks like, only an artist can let you know what it feels like. Guess that makes you an artist!! Blessings, K.

It's a pretty good storm. It has the right character. Yes, a skeleton, not none. Nihilism has it's own rejection.

It's been too long since I've seen a snowstorm, so I can't help you at all, but Jock, you always manage to make everything look good! I have to agree with Snow Angel, it is a little Van Gogh'ish. V (:
