Description

The proud warriors of Baker Company wanted to do something to pay tribute To our fallen comrades. So since we are part of the only Marine Infantry Battalion left in Iraq the one way that we could think of doing that is By taking a picture of Baker Company saying the way we feel. It would be awesome if you could find a way to share this with our fellow countrymen. I was wondering if there was any way to get this into your papers to let the world know that "WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN" and are proud to serve our country." Semper Fi 1stSgt Dave Jobe The attached photo was forwarded from one of the last U.S. Marine companies in Iraq. They would like to have it passed to as many people as possible, to let the folks back home know that they remember why they're there and that they remember those who've been lost. (:- Who am I to deprive them of their freedom!? -:) Enjoy the recognition fellas it's much deserved! Copyrights belong to the photographer, US Government, the Baker Company, or any combination of the 3....I'm just passing it on like they asked. Due to 2 people intentionally trying to tarnish this tribute to those lost and since I disagree with them a lot their replies are deleted. The good ones are as follows: neverfinder: intresting.. 10/13/2004 stormtrpp: Proficient killers and proud warriors!!!!! The SINGLE reason this web-site and the worlds democracies exist. Without these fine men and millions more like them in our history we would all be speechless. Our Constitution and Bill or Rights were signed by the blood of American soldiers mixed with that of British soldiers. Never forget it. 10/13/2004 zorares: WOW! Thanks guys! 10/13/2004 hurleyman: lookoo, be very careful when you tell a Marine that his fight is pointless. Be more careful when you tell a Marine that the 500 children that he has freed from concentration camps are not worth it. You do not have enough information to determine whether there is or is not a terrorist presence in Iraq. Whether Iraq actively helped them or not, they were there and they were planning attacks against the US. Simply because no administration (i.e. Clinton) responded to the attacks on multiple US embassies, or on the USS Cole, or the Anthrax attacks, or the first time they hit the WT Center, or all the other attacks that terrorists have made against us in the past 5 years does not mean the Bush is wrong to FINALLY take a stand and protect American soil from further attack. Check out the pic in my gallery. By the way, 10 or more people have died fighting in Afghanistan in the past 6 months, I know the fiance of one of them. We are still fighting there. I will remember you when I am taking rounds in Iraq next year, make sure you remember me.... LCpl/USMC b2amphot: Politics don't belong. This is a fine tribute. Thank you. Also ex-USN 10/13/2004 weesel: Politics failed. Period. That's why they are there. Semper Fi, dudes! (ex-squid) 10/13/2004 Mark_uk: looks like they haven't read the ISG report. 10/14/2004 eyeland: To those soldiers in Iraq who are there out of a sincere conviction that they are doing the right thing, I admire the courage it takes to put your life on the line, but feel that you have been misled by a cynical & cowardly president who has used the tragedy of 9-11 to further his own short-sighted ambitions & political agenda. Unfortunately, there are a lot of despicable dictators & corrupt governments in the world & while U.S. soldiers may feel a sense of pride at having removed one of them from power, they ought to think long & hard about the implications of the U.S. taking on the role of policeman to the world. 10/14/2004
