Description

'Atlantis' ------------ This piece was created in 1999 using 3D Studio Max and Poser and it remains one of my best selling pictures. It looks a little dated now and it is far from perfect but at the time I was very pleased with the result. Many thanks for looking. Tony Prints available from http://zazzle.com/tonyhayes*

The image itself is absolutely fantastic! My only nitpick is that I don't think that if Atlantis was underwater the water's surface would be so close...ya know what I'm saying? Otherwise...WHOA!

Many thanks for all of your comments - nice of you to have taken the time. As I mentioned above, it was an earlier piece and if I were doing it again, I would do some things differently. You are of course right the water level is too low - but hey, who knows, Atlantis might just be below the surface. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! The water is also a bit turbulent and I regret that now, it was actually a patch grid with noise applied (no bump map). Thanks for your time. Tony Hayes : bogwoppet

Incredible. I like this the most of your images, because of the human presence. . .the diver suspended above this antiquity is really compelling.

great,i dont think you should have shown the suface though, if you look at the surface ripples it and judge by perspective it looks like he is in a fish bowl, the bubbles kind of throw the perspective too

My meager ability with Max at this point tells me you do some mighty fine work- I think you depict the underwater scene quite accurately.

If this is not too bad, so what are the rest? I think many of us would like to do such "not too bad" images like that ;-)

" Atlantis " 1999 by Tony Hayes ( or bogwoppet here on Renderosity ) is a masterpiece !! This emerald underwater image is absolutely stunning to say the least. The diver really floats within this outstanding composition. I hope to see this work hanging in a museum one day in the future.
