Description

I dedicate this one to Margit Eberl, cause as you may have noticed, it's heavily inspired by her beautiful image "Ancient Arcade" :) I worked A LOT on the lighting in this one... and the shadows.. they're everything in this kind of pic :) - Flowers and plants from - http://www.toucan.co.jp/indexE.html http://www.inf.tu-dresden.de/ST2/cg/downloads/publicplants/ Well... I truly hope you like it! Comments are as always very welcome :) Thanks for viewing! - Thomas

Yes, like it... It reminds my of a house where I spent many summer holydays as a child, when the 'glicine' (I don't know the English name)was a shelter from the hot sun, and the dark door of the 'caneva' (local word for something like a cellar) was hinting to our children immagination about an ogre's cave, or a pirate's grotto... where I didn't dare to enter, not only because of fear, but maybe because there could be anything behind the door, and I was not sure I wanted really see that there were just chops of wood... The atmosphere, the ladder aside and the 'glicine' bring to me exactly those remembrances...

Hey GOOD spam! I love it. The plants are perfect, and the door has perfect texturing. You really should do this professionally, and the composition says something. It's almost like, I'm coming, but I'm not dangerous. Or, should I go there? Is it safe?

Very nice tom, I really like the detail of the wood grain on the door, and also of the bricks. It looks like that it would be a very nice place to own a wine vineyard.
