Description

I dedicate this one to my Mother. Each year, near summer, my mother gets a "flower-trip", putting plants in pots everywhere. It looks fantastic, but it certainly doesn't make walking on the terrace easy :) This one started out as a study in texturing and soft lighting. I think it ended up pretty good :) Flowers from : http://www.toucan.co.jp/indexE.html http://www.inf.tu-dresden.de/ST2/cg/downloads/publicplants/ Thanks for viewing! Comments are very welcome :)! - Thomas Ohh... and I've uploaded a picture of myself on my homepage if anyone's interested :)

Beautiful! Your mom will apprecate it, I'm sure... Great warm lighting (I don't know if a light can be defined 'warm' in English, but here you put a great atmosphere)

Great rendering and great "atmosphere" - maybe you can just print this one out and give the print to your mother so she can get over her "trip" ?

Excellent image - as usual. Your mother seems very successful in growing plants. Two green thumbs i would say. They are so big compared to the bycicle. The textures are "out of this world" - so is the light! lol, Walther

Awesome job... I love the wall-texture, with those warm, red bricks under the white clay.

There are some problems of scale here between the plants and the bicycle, and maybe even the window. However the balance of the composition and particularly the wonderful textures are what capture and hold the eye and make this such a delightful image.
