Hi everyone!
I am a Hobbyist just having fun with Graphics.
I have been away from this site for a very long time, but I am happy
to be back and look forward to seeing all the wonderful art from the
talented artists who post here at Renderosity.
I work primarily with Poser Pro 2012, 3ds Max 2012 and Adobe
Premiere Pro. It's older software but it works for me :-)
I mostly use V4 and M4 in all my animations. they are easy to work
with and do not take excessive resources away from my PC. I use a
Dell Optiplex 7010. It's a great computer and you can find them cheap
on e-bay.
While I do most of my own modeling using 3ds Max, I primarily model
the environments in which my Poser characters live.I find myself going
to Daz3d and RMP for all my character, texture and clothing needs.
I animate and set up all my characters inside Poser and then transfer
them to Max by using a Fusion Poser/Max plugin. I then set up the lights,
cameras and all needed textures within Max.
I render the animations by using a V-Ray plugin. I use a 2.35 image aspect
ratio on all my video animations. It just gives them a more cinematic look.
I thank you for looking at my Gallery!

Yes, it’s true. It’s an unusual approach to the subject of RA, but it really appeals to me. As a child, I loved it when my mother read to me from the Prince Valiant comics; I would sit right next to her—snuggled up, wide-eyed, and quiet as a mouse. Those are moments I always look back on fondly. In terms of craftsmanship, the video is—as expected—excellent, and it’s brimming with imagination and creativity... thank you, my friend, for the time and effort you put into it; it was well worth it! I’m curious to see what the two of them will say...
It's quite incredible what AI can do nowadays. It has produced a splendid creation in this video.
Amazing!
Great work once again love the voices
touching animation and wonderful story :-)
..only one word: PERFECT
Excellent
Another nice one, Johnny! Looks like a professional docudrama :-)
I wonder how much of those amazing ancient tales was simply ordinary activity by an advanced civilization being described by primitive people the best they could. A warplane launching an incendiary missile seen as a dragon? An attack submarine seen as a sea monster? A space shuttle seen as a chariot of a God?
I think if we could go back to witness those ancient 'biblical' times we would all giggle, laugh and roll our eyes.
Wonderfull !
Nicely done.
The boy is just asking for a short story, he is a wise little guy. Not sure many of us asked for only short stories, even our favs ;) And now, he can sleep and dream he enters in the legend with Ra and this special teddy bear for him, to fight Apep.
wou super gemacht
sure brings back memories from my early days. love the Egyptian scenes. you are a master of videos Johnny.
Johnny, I'm sorry for being a week late on this...and the silly 'takeoff' I almost finished for you still awaits my final edit---I've been laid up with back issues and a few home issues, and just didn't get anything else done. But here's my comment on yet another of your wonderful uploads...and I hope to post my "takeoff" soon. (Something will go up, even if I can't rescue the original piece...)
I just visited Courtray's gallery---he has a very rich and lush gallery, and I can see why you work with his images. Soon I'll leave him a comment or so...as for your treatment: It begins with really sweet light---zeroing in on the mother and child. That light becomes more intense and golden at the end (which is a really sweet touch).
Second---a small point---I smiled that the child had a british accent. Maybe a british father? An unexpected little treat. But then the story: You spotlight Courtray's work very sweetly on the cover of the book: A very 'presentataional' cover (composition-wise, it's epic, with the sun god in the center, etc).
Then the story begins...As always you have constant movment, but your camera is always so smooth, which communicates grace and love for your subjects. I've never seen jagged movements from you (ie, a "hand held" look). You approach Ra lovingly, and move away from him the same way. and even allow his halo to circle behind him---a beautiful effect.
He walks out of the "box" composition (of the book cover) into the world: I love the pan across the city in the background: A big ancient metropolis. And it looks like you have 3 or more orbs in the sky: I love that too. You pan slowly too: very sweet movement.
I think the halos change too (I think) (I didn't go back a third time to check): If I'm right, I like that. And the scene in the boat in the night is sumptuous. Great small boat, and the serpent is always moving, which is very effective, it gives a swirling feeling to the scene, an undulating feeling. That's what I mean by "cinematic" in your work: There's no stagnated footage; and the movement is not gratuitous: It's embracing and enhancing. The serpent is handled beautifully. Considering that that scene is short,, it conveys a lot. Beautifully done.
In the conclusion with Ra, the halo is circling behind him---love it. And then you return us to the mother and child, and they end the piece with his teddy bear. 1) when I was that age, I NEVER went to sleep after that. I was up a lonnnng time. A very well-behaved kid! And 2) I love that the mother is wearing pajamas. She's ready for bed. A small detail, ok, but it's a thoughtful one. And when you finish, you seem to change the light on the child (and t.bear) to a deeper gold-tinged light, and it's wonderful. And the fade is like your camera moves: slow and gentle. It's a short tale but you have a way of making short pieces feel like whole journeys. And your cinematic way is wonderful. Beautifully done, as always, Jonny. I'll let you know when I post for you. I've just not functioned on several levels, of late. But it'll happen. Also, you use Courtray's work beautifully: love the collaboration. Hope you're well this early summer, and same for your loved ones.
ps...happy father's day!
Last week we went back to visit some places we really love and to discover some new ones. It was great, but it kept me from discovering this amazing creation in time ! But better late than never, and I just had to tell you how fascinated I am by this video ! Everything about it is perfect, and I especially liked the scene where the child talks to his mother, before dreaming of the adventures of the god Ra. Hats off, my friend.
Very sweet story and awesome AI video. Nice music to go with the story. Really amazing work. Wonderful bedtime story.
