Description
Blue Peter is a British children's television entertainment programme. It is the longest-running children's TV show in the world, having been broadcast since October 1958.
A Blue Peter badge is an award for Blue Peter viewers, given by the programme for those appearing on the show, or in recognition of achievement. They are awarded to children aged 5 to 15, or to adults who have been guests on the programme. Adults can also get a Gold badge if they have done something extraordinary. Approximately 22,000 are distributed annually.
The badge provides the wearer with free entry to many British attractions, particularly museums and exhibitions that are featured on the show. The programme producers suspended the privileges amid concerns about the badges being sold in March 2006, but they were reintroduced with additional security a few months later.
And I never won one. :-(
I cannot take credit for creating the ship and text - I found it online (though I can't remember where) and thought it would make a great illuminated sign. :-)

The sign looks great - some sort of a homage for this long running children's TV show. Sorry you never won this badge.
That must be hard, but we all have our Burdens to carry, and one Day You will be over it! :)
KOOOL
I'm sad I never got one either. But in retrospect I'm relieved to say 'Jim never fixed it for me.', though I wasn't at the time.
I was always tempted to write to Jim but I was probably too old to to be featured - which, also in retrospect, was probably a good thing.
