Hi, from South Texas.
I like to swim, play cards and play on this computer with all sorts of programs. I am also an avid reader, mostly fiction.ย
I am glad you stopped by.....hope you will take time to look at my gallery. As a side note, I am honored to have been chosen as Artist of the Month for December 2022. Thanks to all that voted.

They better pull up those boats and tie them up good, then close all the shutters!
Doesn't see, like they are very prepared, does it? They need your help. :-)

As an image, it's so warm and inviting, but seeing the title, I'm really worried for these islanders.

Another of your fine landscapes...this draws us in to the house immediately,, because of the intense reddish yellow light beaming from inside: that buttery yellow that one gets from a home when the outside goes all gray. The two boats---with people in them (they better get outa those things and get inside soon)---'tame' the river a little; but one sense that soon that river will be raging. Your waves create that feeling strongly.
This is tropical (you wouldn't see palm trees in Chicago!), and one wonders if that wooden house is gonna hold up! The sky tones---alternating between those pale, pre-storm jaundiced yellows, and those metallic grays (the couds) speak of a storm from hell. I assume Texas has similar skies to the midwest when a storm is brewing: Here, the world goes still, the wind stops, the sky turns the above colors; then darker, and darker, until it's a pea green...and then---boom! All hell breaks loose. It'll pour boulders for 30 minutes, until it's suddenly over. And you come out from hiding and trees are broken, branches are strewn everywhere, there are broken windows, downed poles, etc...that's what this reminds me of. Very well done. And the water has smooth sections which fill like gold-tinged mirrors.
This image reminds me of an approaching Texas storm for sure. Just a few weeks ago we got 14" of rain in half a day!!!
