Description

I think i will move out of this scene, it took a 'wile' (a lot of time, two days) to render. I'll give my machine a rest to cool down.

The result is excellent, considering the enormous rendering time, do you know the product? "Scene Optimizer" Daz3D Store this could maybe help you. This scene is very realistic, it reminds me of when I go to the dentist 🌟

Thanks for the nice comment and the tip. I went to the Daz store and didn't find the product (witch i know). Apparently I've purchased it already and have forgotten about it. Shame on me.

Yikes! A real nightmare is coming this night; even my numerous ghosts will be scared. Scarily effective!

I have a nVidia GTZ 960 graphic card with 16 GB of memory : a medium performance gaming computer. On average, it takes an hour for rendering one of my scenes. Almost every time, I use a trick for getting a very fast rendering, I add lots of wide surface light sources; the more, the better. Often, I use the whole ceiling as a light source if the ceiling is not part of the resulting picture. The result is credible; for me, it is OK, because I want to tell a story, not exactly to have the most realistic lighting.

I have a GTX 1060 6GB graphic card and the PC started with 16GB of memory and an i7 7700k CPU. But wile trying to render a scene Daz kept crashing and the PC also for not enough memory so for the moment it's a bit overkill, 48GB. The scene needed a wee bit over 36GB of memory..

Now the nightmare begins? Excellent and scary scene! Well done! Sounds like your machine gave you a nightmare with that long render time!

2 days for studio? I render huge scenes with a few minutes render time with Poser. I have heard from others that studio is very slow to render

I have been thinking of doing a scene like this for weeks! I don't think I could top this great job you did though.

Splendid nightmarish render ! Wow, 2 days is a lot. Indoor scenes are always slow and if you have light passing through sepcular materials (e.g. glass) it will be even slower as that produces a lot of noise that takes time to clear. In any case, the results of your 2 days rendering is really good. Looks great. I like the POV too.
