Description

This morning, while opening Treasure House, putting money in the till drawers, I noticed that someone tried to break the front door to the store. Just when my stress levels were finally getting into a 'safe' range, this has to happen. We, Nancy and I are now looking into having security bars installed on the doors. I really want to give these people a mental enema with a 9mm hollow point. forgive me for ranting but enough is enough! the photo is a close up of the impact point. I hope the rest of you have a good weekend. On one other point, we need to send prayers to the people who were killed in New Zealand

That stinks Mike! What the hell is wrong with people!
I just want to know when it went out of style to work and earn what you want and need. I’m on board with the 9mm solution. Glad no one was hurt.

Damn.... Glad they didn't get in, and you're OK.

There is such a massive surge of utterly useless parasites and loony-tunes out there that have no regard for anything or anyone. They're too lazy or too stupid to get a job, or just can't do anything useful - probably because they're either druggies, or have just never been taught that the whole f-ing world doesn't revolve around them. Indeed... It's time to do some world-wide housecleaning. With extreme prejudice.

I'm sorry this happened but glad they didn't get in. Stay safe, it's a crazy bad world out there.

I'm glad nothing was stolen and no one was hurt... Having worked at a mental health hospital, I cringe when people use words like loonies in association with criminals. It's no better than Donald dimwit blaming crime on Mexicans! I also don't condone violence to stop violence (sorry that's my honest stance)... However, if we are supposed to be in the strongest economy in years, according to the aforementioned dimwit, why is it our society seems to be worse off than ever... Could it be the example set by that lieing, cheating, self-interested, narsonistic-personality disorder (and yes that is a mental illness, but he is a textbook case) polluting people's minds into thinking if he can get away with anything why can't I?

These are the same people who steal from the poor box or the Salvation Army kettle. They are the ones who break into churches and steal the holy items. I wouldn't hurt them at all. If I got my hands on them I would put them to work. After I got done with them they would wish for death. On the plus side the vandalism does make a lovely pattern on the door.

It seems like the world is going to hell in a hand basket, but we still have to be true to ourselves and our loved ones. I'm glad you and yours are safe. Be careful, my friend!

Good capture of the glass damage. An occurrence as old as the hills. Appears to have gotten worse due to the media, especially tv news.

Why do people think they can do this. The world has gone mad.

That is terrible! I'd be so annoyed at just having to pay to fix the glass!

Good thing you got away unscathed. Let's hope these monsters don't return, for revenge or otherwise. When I was born there were 1 1/2 billion people on this planet. Today, 8 billion. And what do a lot of them do? In my town in south Sweden there were 45,000 people in 1978. Today, over 100,000. And much more crime. Why? Too many young people, spoiled rotten and placing demands the older generation would never have been allowed to place. Why? Lack of discipline, honest work, ease of obtaining luxury items (i.e. cell phones, other electronics). Good photo showing what damage a bullet can make. Keep safe and keep up the good work. :-)

Not a nice surprise to discover this brutal thing, Mike. Yes the world has change a lot, it's like wild/west sometimes. Sure I'm with the people in New Zealand, in thoughts and prayers.

I am very sorry, Mike. Break-ins and violent crime are increasing and getting worse. I also had a terrible experience at my place and a lot of damage. They even took out the security bars and broke in. Good luck with security and I hope it does not happen again. Take care!

I'm glad they didn't make it inside or attempt the robbery while you were there. It is a sad state of affairs that this is not unusual these days. Hope they catch the vandals soon.

If I see such brutal acts of violence ... Should these people earn their money with honest work, instead of taking it away from others, and at the same time tampering with everything. I can understand your anger well!

I know how you feel, buddy. I, myself, am fond of the 357. Makes much bigger holes in scum. Perhaps in time when the wall goes up, and better vetting regulations, and less democrats; some of this kind of things occurring will lessen. Won't stop everything, but a lot for sure. Last year; I pelleted two illegals with buckshot trying to break into my workshop. I hate a thief. Delighted that you are okay though.

I feel you for sure. Where we live in California has become a jungle. It's hard to stay compassionate and upbeat with stuff like this impacting you. Try to shrug it off, don't let the bad guys win in your heart too. Take care man.

Mike, I"m really sorry I never commented on this---I thought I had. (I've been absent more than present, here, but I usually comment when people I care about go through peril...mea culpa) It's awful to be violently invaded, and I'm sorry it happened. I managed a store years back, and we were held up a couple of times. It's never fun to have someone point a pistol at you. But it's esp hard =given the kind of business you're in....But that makes you more vulnerable with some people. Some people attack because you're helping others. (Look at the hell our president conjures---and he loves it: It's no surprise that people are getting meaner.) I hope it's over, and doesn't happen again. (It could just be a vandal, period; and then, it could be someone looking for money for drugs. If someone's needy enough, they'll invade anyone.) I remember something bad happened to your store some months earlier too (right?). Hope the perpetrator is caught, or gets help. And lol, mark (wysiwig): It does make a cool window pattern, when you forget about the cause...
