Dear Ana!!! Happy Birthday and MANY MANY more. I wish you a wonderful day with your family. May the new year bring you Healing, Strength and alot of happiness, love and Light and a much easier life.
These pictures:
The first is how the livingroom in my very early childhood looked. A painting by my mother, that I gave a digifiddle. All got the same digifiddle.
The second is of the yard, where I was playing all day with my friends. Also by my mother.
The third is where we lived. We lived about 1½ kilometer from the Coal loading Harbour in South West of Copenhagen and we could always hear the coal cranes screeching in the distance. It didnt bother us, because we could also hear the aeroplanes passing over the house roofs from the big airport to the south east. That is another painting by my mom.
The last is made by my Uncle (mom´s brother) in 1960 and the motif is from the Hill near this area, where Per and I live now. So you see we ended up here, where both my mom and dad and their families lived. This is how This spit looked, when I was only 13 years old. Hope you had fun seeing this. Later, I´ll show you the original watercolors. Dont think you ever saw them. My very best wishes from a cold and rainy Spit of Zealand,

An amazing assortment of watercolor paintings from your past in this wonderful historical montage, Helle.
I can't believe I never commented on this! Well I know I wrote about it to you, but these are delightful beautiful paintings, showing your artistic heritage; and can I assume that some of your postwork was to give a more "oil-like" feeling to them? Whatever you did, it didn't interfere with the paintings at all, I'd not have guessed you touched them until you told us. Your mom had talent, Helle. And, in the 3d one, the boats had names. (Anyone familiar, or were they just names of people you all didn't know). The final landscape has a sweet sweep and large view to it. Is it as open now as it was, then? It feels like it doesn't have a lot of settlement on it yet.
A beautiful collection, and a beautiful gift for Ana. She won't see this now, but I do wish her, with you, all the grace and relief and light and healing and blessing in the world. She deserves it. And this shows her how much she's loved. Beautiful upload, on all accounts, Helle.
(And while I'm here, I wanted to comment on your "Taking a Break" upload---that glassy-looking piece, with all the glass swirls, and the 3 trees, just before this. It's a delight. The "textured glass" background is beautiful, and the trees---which all look identical---are beautiful highlights on top of all that glass. And the orange and gold leaves stand out so well over your deep greens and blues, etc. And you gave highlighting around the trees' edges. It's beautiful, full size. Love your textures and those rich red and gold hues. I want to leave a comment for Harry, then I'm going back to sleep. I'll return to do the rest of your recent images soon. And I'll drop you a note this weekend, but I'm really sorry you had such a severe back problem on Friday, and I hope it's better today. We may sound like "too poor wrecks," but I know so many people in their late 60s who have similar problems: It just comes with age. There was nothing to prepare us for it---it just comes. I hope you're doing better, Helle, and that it goes away soon. Age demands a lot of maintenance, doesn't it...)
