Description

------------------ About forms, planes, shadows, etc. A personal word... I'm working on more writing, and I've tried to post several pieces, but sometimes the muse just collapses on the rug and refuses to move. Like a dog you want to bathe, who fights you to the death before he lets you put him in the bath...that's what my muse does to me. It says, "you THINK so???" and it sits there and laughs... My fantasy pieces are really fun to do...but they empty me out afterwards. That long piece I did on the Middle Ages? (My Mark/wysiwig dedi?) I literally have to become the characters in order to write them halfway-decently; and I have to 'live' the scenes I write---they just won't work, otherwise. So when I finish---or, say, when I finish being a detective in digital-land (for Rod) or walking inside of paintings, or ride the Ganges (for Tara) etc, I empty out afterwards. Like I've just been on a trip for 2 months and I need a rest. This is why I don't post writing very often. I become a rag afterwards... Anyway, thanks again for your wonderful support and visits---it's greatly appreciated! m Please zoom for detail ------------------

this makes me want to walk down brightly lit streets in the warm sunshine. this street is so clean. I like the shadow and light in this piece... take care of yourself. create when and what your heart leads you to. muses can be stubborn little gremlins.

I've been in mostly a muse shut down since my injury, and too many things on mind to create. I've been posting some of the 15 images I had done and stacked up. This looks like s high dollar appt complex or something Beautiful design and capture my friend.

it would be interesting to stay at this point over a period of 8 hours and take pictures the entire time to see the shifting light and shadows

Interesting study in light and dark. The almost blinding white on the left side of the image leading to the cool and soothing shade and color of the center distance. Stucco verses living wood. No contest.

What a nice alley and of course, there is also a tree. So sunny and private. OH! I can easily understand you. The brain is boiling when working and then.. it simply has to cool down again for a while. Nothing odd in that.

I have these courage problems. SO Stupid. I dont dare use a simple nice piece of watercolor paper and instead, I make art on a 9 x 8 cm copy paper. What on earth is that, when I have PLENTY of wonderful watercolor paper. But when i begin to look at it. I suddently need to do duties and it is just an excuse for not beginning the art. I know. This morning in my bed, I had plenty of awesome plans for what to do.....But when I get up, the air is farting out of the balloon and I get nothing done.

You've used that harsh light to your advantage, and done it quite naturally and easily. Middle-of-the-day light is generally death to photography, but you tamed it and made it sit up and do tricks. This is terrific, with the sharp shadows and bright light. Late afternoon light would have thrown the entire area into shadow and made this a nothing shot. Terrific work!

Another wonderful image and example of how true artistic vision can morph (oooo, sorry... my 3D side taking over again...) an ordinary, everyday scene into a masterwork. Just brilliant!

Dang..... So THAT's why I feel totally fuster-clucked after putting together one of those T.N.A. pages. Not that I become one of the characters, mind you.... It's just that those Girls just wear me out! Then they giggle about it. I just finished doing a bit of a re-write on a story I wrote some years ago, and I know what you're saying. If you put yourself into the story, it's an emotional roller-coaster ride, and you feel it when you're done. I'll post it once I get some illustrations done.
