If you don't want people to criticize your work, don't allow anyone to make comments. Otherwise, there will always be someone who doesn't subscribe to the Renderosity "ass-kissing" agreement and has no bones about telling you want they think needs to be fixed.

I agree, but there is a tone for doing things. I have no problems with criticism from peers. I do however have a problem with criticism from someone whom I can't judge because they have no posted work. Therefore what is the relevance of the criticism. Anyway this was a jest to open up debate. Seems to have worked.

I think this is great! And I agree with you about people who post criticism and have no gallery. 9 times of out of 10 when I get criticisms, it is from a person who has no gallery. What are they afraid of? I like your art!

My personal method of doing things is I like to say what I like AND what I think can be fixed, because I don't believe that anything is ever perfect, so I always try to give ideas, even though most of the time I'm not capable of such great artwork. I rarely post my work because most of the time, I don't like it. ;D So I only have about three or four things in my gallery, but I like to give people feedback. However, i do agree that if they're using a certain tone, it's not acceptable. I haven't seen the feedback in question, so I can't say about this particular case though. Anyways, I find the picture in question humorous and it gave me a nice laugh after a bad day =)

I believe there is a medical term for this situation. I think it is called a craniel-analectomy. The art of pulling ones head out of their perspective ass! There will always be critics. The ones who count are the ones that offer true advice on how to fix this part of an image ot that. I welcome helpful suggestions on lighting, shadows, different points of camera views. This is what I call helpful critism. This gallery was made for just that purpose. For artists to come and share, and hopefully learn. If I had not had good and honest advice on my work, I might still be playing with the default poser man with the default lights! What isn't necessary is character attacks that are not meant to help the artist, but to hurt. I will never understand why a community of artists can not, or will not support each other in our endeavors. OK, Off the soap box. as for the image dave....I am still not sure that is anatomically possible, but I would like to see ya try pal~ HUGS This of course is my humble opinion!, which in the long run, dont mean squat! By the way, your last image Rocked!
