Description
So many things went through my mind while creating this image and then watching it render. The colors were chosen very deliberately and each is symbolic to me.
Gray and colors symbolized the upcoming date of December 21, 2012 - less than one week away. There are many opinions about the significance of this date, the end date of the Mayan calender.
Group A: it will be just another day and those who believe otherwise are nuts.
Group B: a great calamity will befall the earth and/or humanity.
Group C: we will be entering a new age, one of peace and hope.
Group D: the mothership will arrive and take them away.
What do I believe? The gray is for my uncertainty about the significance of this date. Maybe Group A is right; maybe Group B is right but I sincerely hope and pray they are not. My hope, my prayers, represented by the colors, is that Group C is right. And Group D? I'm sorry, but even my open mind thinks THEY are nuts!
My other interpretation, equally as important as the one above, is for Newtown, CT. Gray, for the tears shed because of a sick mind's rampage in an elementary school. The rainbow colors, a reminder of the joy this children brought to the world, and the fervent hope that joy will return to those who grieve.
Of course, each of you is free interpret this image in your own way and share it with others.

I'll be here the 22nd commenting on what your latest work is and preparing for Christmas with family and friends...(smiles)... Walk outside during a lightning storm with a metal rod ...you stand more a chance to be zapped by lightning then any Mayan calendar prediction...The Y2K didn't pan out either...Seems fear tactics create revenue just like they want you to believe...We have worse things happening around this world then some calendar and like I have sat with my children and told them that if it happens there is nothing we can do to stop it and we will have said our thoughts to one another and hope if it does go down that it's quick and painless as possible.. I really like what you created above as it holds your personal beliefs and you thought to create it and share with us it's significance...(smiles)..
