Description

Sorry about the slightly cheesy title. Borrowdale, Lake District UK, looking towards Thornthwaite (I think). This is two exposures blended top to bottom with a gradient mask to bring back the sky, and a small amount of perspective correction to get the gatepost straight & vertical. Had to compress this quite a bit to get it under 512Kb, hope it's ok ;) Thanks for looking & thanks also for your kind comments & favouriting of my last post. Have a great weekend. ~Steve~

Your casual explanation (blend top to bottom, gradient mask) has sent me to Photoshop to learn a new trick! It's amazing to me how we all use different tools within the same program. Thanks! :) Aside from all that ... I LOVE the way this turned out. The result is just right. Excellent pov, composition and light. Beautiful image!

Beautiful image - and very nice post work. I often do the same thing to bring back some blue in the sky. I agree - the lighting in this one turned out great - such a glow and peaceful feel. Bravo! :)

Nice scenery. I really like your composition - positioning the fence to lead us into the image works well.

This is a great shot and I am glad it got picked. Really love the perspective on this. I am a total sucker for long leading lines in photowork. Nice fix on the gate because nothing is showing at all and screen work is a neat trick that I always forget about and am left thinking up every which way but that one to punch up the skys.
