Description

When Brianna's son was born, her sister Morna was present as well as Alduin. It was Alduin who delivered the child and they were the only three to see it. These same three were present at the casting of the binding and sealing spell. None of them were certain it would work, but anything was worth a try. Each of them added a 'blessing' to the dream-spell as well as a 'proof' embedded in this spell. Brianna added protection, to keep her son from harm and illness. It was his falling so deathly ill that triggered the spell and made him start dreaming of Moira. That was where Alduin came in. He bound and sealed Brianna's son to his niece Moira, so that one way or another, Brianna's son would not only make his way back to her one day but discover Moira as well. Morna added the gifts of intelligence, bravery and what she called a 'true heart'. None of them knew what 'proofs' the other two had embedded in the dream-spell and they'd all held on to their secrets in these days. As tempted as Alduin had been to relate this information to Brianna, he never did. If the spell did work, then they would all three need be present when the young man returned. Each would inquire of him if there were something in the dream he recalled based on their clues. To this end, as soon as Alduin and Briana knew Magnus and his family were coming, Alduin sent a raven to Morna to summon her there as well. Magnus and Mab must have some reason to suspect this was Brianna's son. Alduin knew his brother well and knew that Mab was never one to jump to frivolous conclusions about things - much less let anyone they deemed 'wrong' in the company of their daughter after what had happened to her. Mab knew that her cousin was with child as well as whose child it was. When Brianna left to go to Morna's dwelling to have the child, Mab wept - one of the few times he'd ever seen her cry. His statement to Brianna that he'd never told anyone of the child was just a bit of a white lie. Because Mab knew of the pregnancy, and it would be to her family the lad would return, he told her about the baby's hair and the caul. He suspected the caul was there because Morna and Brianna's 'gifts' had indeed been transfered to the child. He didn't tell Mab about the dream-spell though. That would have given too much away. Mab was smart enough to figure it out herself, if the young man was the right one. ***** Morna is a morph and texture by Syyd Raven on RDNA called "Vanilla Skye". I just got her today and I think she's beautiful...so here you are! Merry Monday to all and thank you for coming by and for your wonderful comments dear friends! Cheers! Rayvn

Gorgeous lass. And very cool outfit. Great lighting and post-effects. This is getting quite involved and tricky. If Mab and Brianna are cousins then Angus and Moira are distant cousins too. I guess they're are far enough removed and they are fey after all. Very intriguing story. Should be an interesting reunion.

Arthur should not worry about intermarriage of cousins as it was not at all uncommon for the time, and they are fae on top of it all. Yes it is certainly a twisted and convuluted tale but you write with clarity and it flows smoothly. For some reason Morna makes me think of a sea fae even though her colors are golden.
