Yes.. a Praying Mantis. Very good to have around the house. They keep the local insect population down and are harmless to us. Very lucky to have one living near you. As far as his name goes... try calling him by different names and see if he reacts to one...lol. Or you can try "Hey You!". That sometimes will get their attention. Cool shot Evie.. Hugs Dave :^)

She is a "Mantis Religiosa". She is beautiful and lethal ( Like Araka's Shandara). In the insect's world is like a tiger.They used to eat their husbands. Apart from that, it's a nice bug :)

Thank you everyone I did find out the name last night at dinner at sons house ,we use to see a few when we first moved in but never hanging around on my screen lol Kevin did say the female does kill the male wow even in the insect world huh lol: merci: your all so smart !~
