Description

I included this one for Mrs. Lubner because she loves long beans. I have seen two varieties of these in Zhaoqing, the light green as seen here and a variety of very dark olive green, about the color of the old "Pickle Suit" we used to wear in the Army before the new BDU's came along in the early to mid 1980's. If you will notice the side-rails on the bed below the platform holing the beans. This is a custom made pick-up style bed welded onto the back end of a Schwinn Three Wheeler. You can order these three wheel classics from WalMart for about $200 in the states. I used to have one in Pennsylvania when I was at the War College. They were quite expensive back in 1980, just over $800 back then. They are made in China now as it seems like America, nothing is made in the UK anymore either. I hope you enjoy this image as much as I did eating those beans with fresh pork stir fried in peanut oil with ginger, garlic and spices. Oh Miss Chen, I will be there in 4 Days... warm up the Wok! 噢陈小姐,我将在那里4天...暖锅!

Oh, what a delight! And of course you had to tempt me with the pork and fine spices! Nothing finer... These are very healthy beans. I have seen this sort and we also have one sold that has a dark plum striping on it. Those seem tougher. Now, do you have anything in bok choy? LOL

Great shot! A pickup bed on a bicycle has got to be tough to pedal. "Warm up the wok" eh? Is that a euphemism for something else?
