And perhaps most likely the tallest as well. Happy Independence Day everybody. And here's my favorite bronze Colossus to celebrate... I know it's not quite accurate, but if I wanted accuracy I'd have used some photos and started sooner than yesterday. Statue by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, internal structure by Gustave Eiffel, Pedastel by Richard Morris Hunt, gracious gift of the People of the Republic of France to the People of the United States of America, 1884-1886. Pencil/ink drawing scanned and colored in Photoshop 6 by me. Enjoy, ~D
