Description

As stated before oil on canvas 30x40" a work in progress . Did'nt acomplish much played some with the trees on the right, as well as established the trees on the left . Boy do you guys got me thinkin now .... vintorix is really startin to piss me off ... he's becoming like uncle screwtape to me ... stained glass? .... ;) Yes I read the screwtape letters .... and laughed out loud the entire time , (seriously funny and inspiring work of literature) If you hav'nt read it, it's a must read !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Angelweb58 please get ahold of bma62 and see if we can't make an exception and have vintorix arrested!!!!!! Artwithin your not helping me any, by siding with Bill !!!! ;) And Mike Faemike55don't get to engrossed in this commentary, as we may find a way to have you arrested as well !!! I'll leave groegnitram outa this cuz he's a nice person , besides he'd just get out his pencils and draw a door and walk right out!!! Shadownet wake up the cops are at your door!!! Savage dragon ... yes centurions were around at this time they were the ones that did the actual beating and crucifying of Christ ... Nice observation of the shadow of the centurion and Jesus ligning up ,I did'nt see it till just before i posted it . NoobasaurUS / Rob Yes there will be a film .... But only if you direct it .... We'll call it Renderocity Atrocitys.... ;) Yes indeed you wonderful people are all a part of this painting .... Thank you all!!!!! tom p.s check out poet001 his name is Richard and I think his stuff is largely overlooked here!!! p.s.s. I know I've overlooked some of you wonderful people for that I apologize !!! Know this tho... your all in my thoughts and prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tom

The colors and painting is really coming alive now. As for the cops, that's why I have a welcome mat on the front step (and a back door that's well hidden). :O)

re: shadows... sometimes we don't notice the divine inspiration in our lives. Then, sometimes we do. ;)

Fun dialogue going on here. :))) Tom, I love the work on the trees. Sometimes I think you put little things in you work to stir up the pot, but that is just me thinking aloud again. I love the work on the trees on my left, but the trees on my right fascinate me at the moment. I know they are in process, but the way that green/brown branch spirals up the tree creates so many thoughts in my mind of symbols and emotions. Nice to see the cave opening more clearly. Man, it is a blast watching your paintings evolve.

i'm nice? thank you, tom :) havnt heard that for some time :) now, i must add, the way of your presentation becomes more and more a dialog with the viewer, something i havnt seen that way ... in all 6 years i'm at Rosity! and i really enjoy this conversation, it makes it all a bit more alive, away from anonymous commentary in the galleries! and now i will see if i can manage to draw that door you mentioned :)

Well now I am depressed! We will never be able to mimic the works of real painters, on the contrary we are like worms in comparison. I don't mean the respectable type of worms but the other kind. All our studies of program and software are for nothing. I can so well hear Tom and Waheednasir conversation, Tom: "Don't say that some of my best friends are Digital artists". Waheednasir: "But do you want your sister to marry one?" And in addition Tom will not grant me my little wish, such a trifle, a bagatell really for a stained glass version! What kind of friend is that? No I must rise and defend the honour of all digital artists everywhere! Therefore I have made a stained glass version myself overnight! Ha, I would like a real painter to try that. :) Check it out, http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1875211

I think your trees are fantastic. I see you are continuing to highlight the close ones as though they are being hit by sunlight. This is a picture filled with emotion and drama, so doing this adds to the atmosphere. I have my question answered .. the shadow thing was "divine intervention" (: I'm am so loving watching this painting develop and grow. I have read the Screwtape Letters, and I totally agree with you. Awesome book, on so many levels.
