Description

The Barberini Faun is a wonderful classical statue, which may have once been in the art collection of the Roman emperor Hadrian. I couldn't resist the idea that it might have been a present for his 'favorite', Antinous. When Antinous died by drowning in the Nile, Hadrian had him him declared a god.
