Description

Yeah, again title is lacking - but i've time to figure out something more appropriate. The largest aluminum print i've done so far - 22" x 34" on 24" x 36" plate. Let's see thats 56 x 86 cm. on image area. Minor overpainting with fluid acrylics. Standard this is a photo of a finished aluminum print on acrylic surface - a white matte acrylic, finished with gloss topcoat. ~again, thanks so much for time and comments, and BTW I've outlined the procedures on this in the 2D Graphics Forum thread: aluminum printings [real grabber of a title eh?]. ~tim

This is stunning! I have no idea what aluminium printing is, I'll have to check the forum.

And there is a quick link on the 2D Graphics Sub-Community page. Tim, this is beautiful and I bet very impressive at the size you have made it. It looks more like a vision of Spring to come, although there is the impression of hoarfrost, with all the lovely colors. I see a field of flowers in this. Beautiful work!

Yes,Zoom help to see more and more.So many details and colours ,transparency and contrasts.I Think it looks like earth..I can imagine that blue on the top is the ocean, and an iceland in the left, but if it don´t make sense is because it is short of ways and means....but anyway i´m impressed. This is superb.

Absolutly stunning colours. And all the others in your gallery are equally breathtaking. Your CV is also impressive. The scope of this site is fantastic from beginners with dolls to established artists. BTW, thank you for the wake-up call about digital pigment -acrylic print. Now I have to buy Epson Stylus Photo R2880 right? I always knew I would get an return on the investment for the hard work of learning high-resolution, :)

Tim, I read your entries in the Forum and found them fascinating and illuminating, though having never done print-work I am really on the outside. But at least it helps me understand a little more of the 'how' of these beautiful works...I respond, however, more from the eye only because I don't know the techniques well enough to appreciate how they play-out in your art... This has much of what you do so well in your art: the sense of seeing at the cellular level, the organic interplay of intimate forms, the way line is constantly moving through and out of its siblings, your way of applying color in organic fashion (multiple cells of color, yet they bleed across each other in various spots to make them feel like growing entities); and the way the piece breaks up in the upper left corner is what drives me speechless in your work—I love its dispersion, its many lines, its delta effect and the feeling of microorganisms sending their tentacles into unknown space to see if its habitable. Wonderful. Is it part of your meditation series (I didn't see it in your description)...doesn't matter in any case, it's another masterful work by you, and that's all that matters.

OOps - yes this is part of the meditation series; actual one of two key works for the show - i'm still preparing the plate for the next image, another large one tho horizontal 34 x 22 inch. Very flattering comments, thanks.
