Description

I've done quite a lot of images so far of my Genewar characters using their powers, but so far the only flying pictures I've done have been hovering in place or floating along at low speeds. With this in mind I thought I should do one with one of my characters flying along at a decent speed, after all they CAN fly, and Kirney, who is featured in this image can crack Mach 6 if she really pushes herself, so here is the result. The DAZ dystopia cityscape was used in this image as well as MCGJerry's free skydome prop, also used were DAZ 3d'd Stephanie 3 and her associated morphs, bodysuit, Treadz boots, fashion gloves(with a custom transparency map) and the DAZ ultimate ponytail, a custom modelled utility belt was also used. This image was composed and rendered in Poser 7 with slight postwrk in Photoshop Elements 7. Comments and feedback are as always welcomed.

The background is good choice but too blured, when the character is flying the motion effect is only on this character not on the background, because it is not in move ;D If you want to make a flying effect you can add a trail along the character or a kind of vaccum cloud/mist. Anyway your image is cool.

Hmm, yeah, that's actually a scenery prop and not a background picture, I had the camera following the character from in front of her rather than just staying in one place because I still wanted people to be able to see her clearly, this is actually the effect I was going for, thanks for the suggestion though.

I think you can get the feeling of motion either way, by adding a trail to the figure, or by a zoom blur to the background. It depends on the camera.... right? as if it's being fixed on the figure, or being fixed on the cityscape, both are acceptable ways. Seen in full size it's easier to see the blur having a zoom feel and giving the image credability, veiwed in default size it just looks blurred. I think streaks of light from street lighting and windows would add another depth of motion. Cool render though, I like it.

Good suggestions guys, another possibility occured to me, I could add a glow that gathers around her feet for future images like this, although from this angle it might be a little hard to see.
