Description

Apothecary Second layout, I want to ahve at least 4 to 6 prebuilt layouts when finished. The short fat bottles are lower res then the main glass bottles by allot. They are inteneded to be used in bulk to fill in the proper look with out taking the poly count too high. I will be making several more bottles today of low res also to give more variety. The glass bottles are intended to be added for colour and can be used very close up with out having the appearance of polygons. The low res ones can not be used too close up or there edges start to show. All items and textures by myself and Richard photos. Runic Symbols on the bottles done using the brush set by LWPerkins (used with permission). If you don't have this brush set you sould get it :-) I rendered this image at 2800x2100 and then reduced it to 50% to post it. I have no idea how long it took to render. I started it and went and watched 2 hours of TV then went to bed. When I went to bed it was about 25-30% done. All the glass and reflective metals are what make it take long to render. That and the fact I am using ReyTraced shadows and Reflections. Turn off raytracing to render much faster.

Looks great Mike, I can't get over all the bottles and the various types you created. With all these cool details no wonder it took so long to render out.

I love the details--and things like the feet on the stools (I love those stools!) and the fact that a drawer opens in the chest...and there is something in that jar on the counter! hehe!
