Description
Ollie looked around without moving his head.
'Where's every one...' He wondered. His thoughts were as blurred as the air around him.
'Is the party over?... I dont remember if I enjoyed it... are they all gone or was there nobody here?'
'Happy holidays, Ollie' he said to himself and almost smiled.

I know it's supposed to be the season of joy, but it isnt always, not for everyone. Even across time and space.

Everything, Ollie the alien, his wine glass, the chair, all the bits and pieces in the air, semi-transparent and opaque, were designed by me, modeled in Hexagon and textured in Vue (mostly procedurals). The ground is a plane with a vue material.

Pretty nice. I'm getting evicted on the 22nd of this month, just a couple of days before Christmas, five days after my lights get turned off. After two strokes, I thought I'd find help to keep me in my apartment. Nope. SO it's official, I hate Xmas and all those people having all that joy around me while trampling me in the freezing mud. I am glad SOMEONE remembered that some people out here have a crappy time of it, and I thank you for reminding everyone else. Go out and help someone this season...there are PLENTY out there that need it.

what i find most interesting about this image is what you did with the atmosphere/mist. the colors are great, and they take away some of definition that can be a hindrance to 3D CG. here the clouds and graphic ambiguity offset your models well. even Ollie is organically shaped but sharply defined. very cool work.
