Description

As we stand on this bridge, we look around at the wonders of this area. Looking down we can see the power of the water as it carved a niche in the rock. We can also see that the rest of the rock face is smooth, as it should be. Water, over time, will wear down anything in it's path. The spray of the mist reaches up to us and cools our faces as we stand here. The foaming channel that we see is actually about 3 foot wide and several feet deep. You can easily imagine the smaller fae, pixies sprites, pooklings and other such sized fae using this area as a natural slip-n-slide: get in at the top of the channel and be pushed out the mouth to slide down the face of the cliff to the pool below. they would get out of the water, climb back up a trail to the top of this rocky outcrop to do it again and again. You can see them laughing, water cascading down their bodies, their hair plastered to their heads, dashing up the cliff to get in the water and slide down again. The elder fae might join in a couple of times but mainly they would rest on the rocks, watching the younger fae have fun. In some of the quieter sections, laundry would be washed, maybe a cooking fire would be burning, perhaps a mushroom and nut soup would be simmering, waiting for everyone to gather around and join together in a happy meal. The laughter is enhanced by the water singing as it dances its way over the cliff. Thank you all for the wonderful comments on the last image and to those who made it their favorite. This weekend, everyone will get to meet Noria's human replacement, Corinda. She has absolutely no idea what she is getting into as she just learned about the pact. Have a great Thrusday Mike
