Description

"Whatever you do don't tell anyone!" Queens Of The Stoneage - The lost art of keeping a secret Yesterday I had to do a banner - and while listening to the "Queens Of The Stoneage" this image came to my mind. I thought that it was perfect for advertising a light set called "Private Collection" ;o) After the banner was done I decided to do a large version for the gallery, too. If the scene looks familiar to some of you: There is a very likewise scene in the movie "Pacte des loups", see here, too: http://big.chez.com/cinecerama/le_pacte_des_loups3.jpg The funny thing is that I had this scene in mind when doing the image but didn't bother to search for a movie stills or such. When I googled for it today I was kind of amazed that I made a mirrored version of this scene ;o) I take the chance to say a big, big thank you for all the birthday greetings I recieved!! You made my day - together with the fact that I had all my family with me on March 20th!! Technical: The hat is something I digged out of my runtime. It is very old (made for V2) and I don't have a clue where it is from. Some touchups on the clothes, the rest left as is. The lightset used here is the "Milky"-IBL set from the Private Collection with one of the blue lights altered to a more gray tone.

I thought that velvet looked familiar;-) A perfect pose for the Private Collection--I saw it was in the Marketplace and I hope people give it a try, it is phenomenal! And you did indeed mirror the Pacte image--she even looks a little like Rani!

Just a hint for those that may be interested in the movie I mentioned here: The english title is "Brotherhood of the Wolf", the german is "Pakt der Woelfe" - it's a very interesting mix of historical-, fantasy-, horror- and martial-arts movie. Plus: You can see Monica Belluci and Marc Dacascos (and Vincent Cassel - but that is my taste in men that may be a bit special...)

This is absolutely excellent... Even before reading the texts I thought of "Brotherhood..." Brilliant movie if you want to kill some time with a good story. And I adore Monica Belluci.. This is a 5+

Wow, Fox, you have really done it here. Because you can get this with minimal postwork, you get to keep the very "3D-ness" of the original render; I have found that at some point postwork completely flattens my stuff into a 2D image. These lights are just terrific on those textures.

You know me- I don't know the movie, I don't know the photo... But I know this is an artwork I really like :O) Rani alone is a stunner, but Rani with the Private Lights is a Must Have. Love her a lot and currently am rendering another image with the lights! You make me really lazy on lightening LOL
