Description
Gears Of War: Hi All, after alot of work I finished the spec maps to give the armor a metal look. Rigged a few other characters had to do some modeling and lots of Blah Blah:), I had to finish what I started and now Im done. Models by BB thanks buddy!, Characters Rigged and rendered in Max,Set Lighting Posing and all that stuff Max,, Final render color ajust and some filter work CS2. I hope you like, back to Halo and some Poser work CHEERs......

Even amongst the darkest of shadows, you have preserved the detail to set the characters out from the background- that is a damn good example of cinematic lighting. I am not familiar with the story line, but those guys in the upper windows don't look like friendlies! An incredible air of suspense looms throughout this image, and the characters are intricately placed and posed to add a lot of dynamics to the scene. Each of your images tells a story, something I really struggle to do and have yet to master- always good to look up to your examples for inspiration!

Wow! Let me say that one more time...WOW! I think I've made it clear what a big fan I am of work Tony and I can honestly say that this is the best piece I've seen from you yet. Hell I'd say this is one of the most imaginative, most well-crafted renders I've seen here at Renderosity. You should really send this to Cliffy over at Epic; he'd probably offer you a job in the art department for Gears 2. And for what it's worth, this is the first image I've added as a favorite in my 3 years of being a site member. Bravo man! JT

Man there looks like there is so much work has gone into this. Fantastic detail. I've been avoiding using 2D filters for the toon edge bur now I'm coming around now. I a bit different than you I only use them on the edging while you use both edge and texture. You've got a really good look here keep developing it. 5+
