Description
This delicate and tender flower blooms only for one day, the petals fold in on themselves at evening time and the beautiful bloom is gone. I grow this hibiscus in my home. I took this shot this afternoon. I have been trying for days to get a shot I am happy with. I do grow a hibiscus on my railway garden but it has not bloomed this year. Have a wonderful evening. Hugs. A lovely flower so very worth the wait, hey? And beautifully titled too. Been down with walking pneumonia and acute bronchitis here, but have been to the doc and am hopefully on the mend. That's weird, Diane...I have hibiscus growing in my yard and the blooms always last longer than a day....quite a bit longer, actually....regardless, this one is a stunner ! ~ Hugs ~

I thank you all for comments @Nekhbetsun/Dear Mina. I just checked my hibiscus plant! This flower that I photographed yesterday in full bloom, is withered and died on the branch today. So only one day in bloom, perhaps dear Mina it is because this is an indoor plant?? Diane.

I have the red hibiscus sis..never saw a white one before... Beautiful..yes the do open only during the day and close their petals at night... You would think these flowers almost human with those hours.... The year before I had a bi color hibiscus...Peach and Red..so very pretty and so very odd...the only thing is I wish they had some fragrance since they are so pretty...alas they dont... Adding this to my fav Love n hugs Susan~
