Description

When I left the Department the rain had finally given up it's struggle against a warm spring wind. the mercury had risen into high seventies which turned the dampness into a nice cozy fog. It was nearly 5pm and Mary would be in the dojo now. Better not disturb her while in training. In two hours she would be on her daily 12 miles jog and I knew where to find her. Mary Li, former Marine and one of the best bodyguards money could hire, made a point in running at darkness through streets where good citizens didn't dare to walk in broad daylight. When she did it first she was waylaid by three armed thugs, eager for robbery and rape. Two of them didn't survive the encounter and the third would never again use his private parts. Fama had spread among the villains and no one would come near Mary after this day. I was not her and preferred not to be seen there without appropriate armory so I went home to fetch fathers old gun. Then I drove to Warehouse Street to wait for her. ***** She must be on her second 6 miles round as her breath went heavy as if she had abruptly risen out of a comfit chair. I waved at her. She stopped and I told her what she had to know. As I had hoped she accepted the offer. 'Berverly Hills for a change,' she said. 'Why not? Ahh, what about clothes, Sam?' 'Something adequate for a real good hotel', I smiled. She frowned and then nodded turning round to do her job. She wasn't a very talkative girl at all. After a few steps she turned again piercing me with her eyes. 'No wig!' ***** I felt ready for a drink but right in front of Rosebud Bar I hesitated. I felt an urge to see the Sparrow. Now... tbc I had a hard time with this one. Struggled with the writing for more than a day, believe it or not. Though it may be not too bad now, it's time to apolgize for my punctuation. I do know nothing about English or American punctuation. Simply didn't get it back in school. I use to have commas and stuff where I feel they may be useful *LOL* Not that literate I know... You may notice that the style of this image is slightly differen from the former ones. It is because I had some assistance in postwork. Thank you, Ladonna! *hugs* ***** Thank you for looking, I hope you still like my little story.

Sam knows alotta hotties. the little things like "the rain had finally given up it's struggle against a warm spring wind." makes me all happy and stuff. you're a cool writer and i'm super thankful you're doing it in English. i don't know German at all. except scheisse. it means shit. Ladonna did an excellent job and added even more Detective Story atmosphere to it. and the first person narration is working because i feel like Sam now. i wanna see the Sparrow.

befor I read you're self critique (lighten up) I was thinking how very well written this is, very descriptive and entertainig, alot of ground covered (6 miles at least LOL) in a very small space, the fact that I finnished it is a testament to that Excellent prose (prose and pose)
