Description

Had a special request to post this one. Was doing a push on my system resources: a render to disk 1500x1100 approx, @ 300DPI took about 9 hours. Thats as far as I want to tie up my machine, still want to try more Glass experiments for the Challange in Bryce Forum. A tiny color correction in PS.

It is hard for me to describe what I feel when looking at this. It's superb. The colors, the patterns.... everything about this is so difficult to place into words. Every day since it has been posted in the Bryce forum I have returned to it over and over. I don't know what draws me to it, or why it's in my mind. I mean, it's not one particular thing, it's everything. Everything works. There is a balance that just reaches to me and draws me. The colors highlight the patterns and the patterns highlight the thinness of the glass. Everything has a delicate appearance. This scene reminds me of a heart. The inner-sphere within the egg--life that seems to live in the prism rainbow of the glass. This render literally sings. It's not just art in imagery, but also in poetry, a visual poem. This is museum work. Excellent!

glass is great yet time consuming - I had to kill a system resource push last night that was mostly glass because it was saying a possible four day render ... and that was after I got back from a full day out letting the computer do it's thing...
