Back on the "micro-organisms stuff"... :) I don't know what did you expected from the title, maybe it's a little different! :D This is a "camera shot" of the interior of an artery, with the blood flowing in... Those red are of course erythrocytes (red blood cells); their function is to take the oxygen from the lungs and take it to EVERY other cell of the body. After that, they retrieve from cells the carbon dioxide, which is a waste, and they return it to the lungs so that it can be expelled. The violet one is a lymphocyte, a white blood cell, i.e. one of the "guardians" of the body. They are the one who produce the famous "antibodies" we need in order to heal from an illness.
