Description

Created in Vue d'Esprit 4 for the Vue forum's Hudson River School styled landscape challenge. This is not an actual view from the Hudson River area, but the name seemed right anyway. Major influence: Thomas Whittredge. One alpha plane (of the pines to the right) from a photograph taken last summer; everything else can be found in Vue...oh, and one fern texture that can be found on my website. :)

Varian, I don't think you need to qualify this image in any way. It's quite beautiful. Love that alpha plane thingy. Going to try that myself. Should be excellet for crowds. Lovely work!

Very, very nice Varian... Aside from it being a lovely picture, you've definitely captured the spirit of the Hudson River School... I also like that it looks like a painting...

Nicely done... The vegetation in the foreground nicely frames the scene and adds a lot of depth. The whisp of sunlight on the leaves is cool. The distance haze gives the proper illusion of depth. I could have saved time by just saying: Perfect!
