Daisy is a friend of mine
she used to live up on the hill
but Willy wind used to knock her about
and he would, if he could, still.
So Daisy moved to the meadow green
near to the shading old Dutch elm tree
and she is much happier there
sitting just a few short feet from me.
You'll recognise Daisy, her bright sunny face
forever looking up to the sky
with a smile for all who venture there
to bide their time in the shade for a while.
