Description

Okay, trying some new things in Vue, like procedural terrains and some fog/haze. Keep in mind I'm still learning and I have a long way to go before I'll feel confident in the program. I know it looks like the knight's feet aren't touching the ground, but let's just say he was startled by the proximity of the dragon he was supposedly hunting. :) Suggestions on methods for improvement are very welcome. Thanks for looking. Royal Knight by Xurge3d Shade Spear by Darkwingzero and co. Shield from Skeleton King - Daz3d Dragon 2.0 and Draghost texture - Daz3d Mil Drag 2.0 Poses by BigT - RMP

Is it just me or does Vue and Carrara mu=iss that specular lighting think that Poser has... this is a damn good image... but some highlights on the textures would be better... it's ok Rich I couldn't get highlights in Carrara either...learning like you... EXCELLENT image though! (V)

I think you're moving along beautifully with Vue, each piece is better than the last. Love the scene set-up in this.

I am not familiar with Vue at all, so I can offer little in how to improve things through the program. I have to say that the composition is excellent!! Love the pose of the knight!! And the dragon! Both convey each a different kind of surprise!! Fog seems to be a weird thing, I know in Bryce, I could never get the effect I was looking for, and always did post to compensate. The fog in this image is very dissipated. Giving every thing a diffuse glow. Like Bryce, it seems to work best in the distance? Again, I think the posing and composition are awesome!! The trouble with hunting dragons is.....you may find one!! Excellent stuff!!!

Fantastic POV and atmosphere. Nothing more dangerous than finding a dragon in the middle of a siesta. 8-) Great characters and poses.

I love the sky, and the way you got those mountains on the far left to look like they're far off in the distance. Great job!

Another excellent render in Vue. As for the knight's feet, think about it. If a dragon you were hunting surprised you into realizing that you were the prey... your feet would not be touching the ground either!

The terrains are gorgeous....like a painting. I didn't mind the lack of shadows to place the knight's feet because of the dream-like quality of this render. I feel like I'm seeing this in my mind's eye and it is a tele I am reliving in my mind. Does that make sense? I think it's lovely work!
