no I don't like this image. It depicts pediophilia to me and that makes me sick.

Where do you see pedophilia? Looks like a classic May/December romance to me. The younger is no child. Perhaps it is the hint at homosexuality that you find distasteful. I rather like this piece. I do think there should be a bit more attention to the hair, as it still has a bit of the Poser plastic look to it, and the yellow poles...they seem too yellow to me. I like the lighting very much, and the characters interact well together. There is real feeling there.. The noise is a wonderful effect, and pulls the piece together.

Dear bonbon, with this picture I never wanted to depict pedophilia or support it in anyway! I hate this as well as other "love/sex" (?) action where one human being is forced to do or to suffer things which he or she does not want to. The tricycle and soccorball shall just support the backyard atmosphere. But of course this picture shows a gay situation, because in some countries the laws and the people are not that tolerant as e.g. in Denmark, the Netherlands or now in Germany. Gay man there are forced to hide in backyards for having a romance! And at least - as a gay myself - let me assure you that I do not know anybody who became somewhen gay. We were it since our birth. I don't see anything here but a really nice image. It looks totally natural to me and the age thing is totally out of nowhere. Just by looking you can kind of tell that the younger man would look just a little stupid on the tricycle, if he would even fit on it in the first place! As far as people having to hide their sexuality, it is appalling in 2001. No one wakes up in the morning and just decides they are gay. (unless your Anne Heche!) At the same time if it were a choice, who would set themselves up, on purpose, for a lifetime of namecalling, discrimination and downright persecution in many countries today. Not to really be on a soap box, but where do people get the idea that gay men are even pedophiles? Statisitcs prove that most pedophiles are STRAIGHT men. Anyway I think your image is beautiful and even if bonbon does not like it maybe they should go eat a couple of bonbons and get rid of that sour taste in their mouth. I like this a lot better than the usual Boob fest we see page after page. Whats with that? So what, you didn't put clothes on your figure. Wow, that took alot of time and thinking. Your image is beautiful and took time and imagination. You Go!

I guess bonbon have had words from your credits "father and son" in front of her/his eyes, when looking at this image... not seeing what's actually going on on the picture. Bonbon, if you read this comment, look at the picture one more time, and look into any ecyclopaedia what "pedophilia" really means! Bernie, this is a great scene! Maybe TOO much light for this kind of rendez-vous :), but it's still a very good render, with dozens of nice details!

I don't like this pic for the same reasons as bonbon + there is :

  • bad lighting
  • unrealistic textures
  • bad rendering
  • stupid subject

Free your minds.I think the guy in the shorts looks like a chippendale dancer, not someone you usually think of a a little helpless boy...... Nice pic.

Well thanks for this hot discussion! From my point of view pictures shall make something with people. Hate a pic or like it - by making people react the aim of arts (?) is fullfilled. ;-) Bernie

Pay no attention to the ignorant trolls. They're entitled to their opinion, except when they're claiming things that obviously aren't there. I happen to like the grainy texture and lightning and I'm baffled by how much time and detail went into setting the scene up. I'm going to check out your gallery now because of this image. Keep up the great work.

I think what bonbon and Tomy have a problem with is that there isn't a full frontal female nudity, like every other rendering on this site. Really nice work, very professional looking no matter what the subject is. :)

Hmmm...don't see a problem with this subject either. Its nicely complex, but not overly so. Good effort at making a realistic street scene. I'd echo Purr3D and say the pole textures are a weak spot. I like the overall grainy look, but I do think the lighting seems a little bright for "hiding" in an alley. It also seems odd to have two light poles so close together, especially off the main street. One pole casting light down at them might work better (don't have vue, so I don't know anything about using its lights, just saying that from a "realism" standpoint). I would have given an 8 because of these items, but gave it a 10 to help compensate for Tomy's ignorant 2.

the scene is nicely filled out - some minor issues already mentioned above (yellow oversaturated, the ball is floating, etc) but that building is what attracted me, what model is it? thanks for sharing :)

Dear AprilYSH, the building is a "build in" - LOL, sorry! - of the Vue d'Esprit 4.0 pack. I fear I will damage copyright laws in the case that I share with you. I fear you have to buy Vue at: http://www.e-onsoftware.com Yours, Bernie
