Subject: Yet Another Tailor question

I've read it works with Vicki and Mike and Steph if she's run through UVMapper [ayee, another program to learn!] But will it work on morphs that aren't necessarily DAZ, like Chere, Kaitlyn, and Dylan from HandSpan, or the body poses from The Suite or Beauty Builder by Papu?? Just spent an hour trying to fit Chere-- I'd forgotten to load Phil's Leotard-- and only the Real Bikini would work and then it took some doing. If it can work on these guys, I'm buying it.

'Running it through UVMapper', just means that the geometry file is opened and immediately saved from the program. Nothing else is, or should be done. It must be something to do with tabs, or spaces, or CR/LF - just formatting of the text file. Anyway, how UVMapper formats the geometry, must be done in a way that works with The Taylor. The morphs are a part of the CR2 files. These cannot be opened in UVMapper, and do not need to be. If a morph works on the figure, The Taylor should handle it, if it handles any of the morphs. Now, for Body poses? I think you will need to zero the morphs, apply the pose, spawn a morph for every involved group, name each the same and after the character they are, save the CR2, open it in The Taylor, and it should morph any clothing the fit your new morph. The geometry for the clothing may also need to be 'run through UVM' , but I bet most third party items are already just out of UVM anyway. The next step is to copy (MM4) your new character morphs over to a new CR2 that has had the construction morphs removed. (MM4 or HE). (Look at the morph names - you will probably use brows arch, and tongue out, but not Monkey, or RoundFace.) This reduces file size ~80%, eliminates morph cross-talk and is easier on your system.

Hi i don't know if this will help or if it's what you mean, but i've a few figures by Handspanstudios, what i have done is used Morph Manager to transfer the named Morphs from the character onto a Vicky or the other way around. You can use the Tailor to transfer the body part morphs to the clothing. This is how i have made Vicky clothing fit the Sasha character and the sasha character have some of Vicky 2 morphs. Hope this is of some help David

I have had no problem loading Sasha, Hallie, Cinnamon and other characters into Tailor. I have had to do nothing to them ie running them through UVMapper first. David

Cool! Thank you. After fussing without Tailor-- all I could put on Sasha and Chere were, Barbarian nipplecups and Real Bikinis! That decides it, I'm getting it.

Hi Queri Take a look at the link, it's to a question i had about the Tailor. the pic is of Sasha with the Pop Stars top and Vickie Pants, if you have UVMapper then you can get them to fit as well. Have fun with the Tailor you can make the cloths fit the character no longer do we have to make the character fit the cloths. David :)
