Isn't it funny. There are already 3 different versions of this hellcat and they all look very distinct based on the eye of each artist. This is great stuff. maybe we should all post our images for this hellcat in one single thread so that the modelling techniques can be observed and differentiated between the three creators.

I had a bit of trouble with this model as I did not reference it when I began and ran into trouble with the basic design. I like the fact that the template was not very defined. It opened a great deal of freedom for the artist. Anyway I had to rethink what I was doing and finally I figured it out. It was a predator and it was a like a hellcat so I downloaded some pics of cats and began using them as a frame of reference and here is what I got so far after my research and work. I started out using splines with my earlier versions but I kept running into trouble as I had no front to work with. After I got my frames of reference, I went ahead with the vertex modelling technique. This is a good one Travis. This model gave me a bit of trouble. I like that challenge. With things like this going on here, this forum here will definitely separate the men from the boys. Great proposal Travis. I modelled this as a base. I have the entire model in mind so detail is left minimal at the moment. This is going to be a great model to animate and morph. The horns were beveled out of the top of the head as were the ears. Everything else was poked, pulled, extruded, knifed, bansawed and dragged. I should be finish this in a couple of days.
