Subject: Anti Aliasing in Carrara???????????????????

I modeled this in Rhino, imported it as a 3DS file, and rendered it in Carrara. I am using the regular raytacer, raydepth slider set to 25, quality set to best. It looks really rough around the lines the make the doors, anything far away from the camera. Is there a secret to importing models? Is there a secret to getting the overall anti-aliasing quality better? Can anyone help me? I want the line to be smooth, and it's just not happening. Any suggestions will be a big help to me!

kaom, Carrara's AA works pretty well in some cases, notice the edge of your model is very smooth. However it's called Adaptive Oversampling and usually what that means is that AA is applied heavily on the edges of objects (where jaggies show up the most) and lighter (or not at all) within objects. I'm not positive this is the way Carrara's AA works, but the output leads me to believe they don't apply AA as well within objects. So what do you do? If the Best setting isn't working for you, and you want something really smooth, render really big and then use a 2D program to resample it down to the size you want. I like Paint Shop Pro's resize, but I'm sure photoshop or photopaint would work just as well. BTW, for all the folks out there who don't like the way the volumetric lights break up the AA, this will help with that too. Thanks Eric. I did only reender this shot at 640x480, which I know is pretty small, Today I'll try it at 1024 x768 and higher. That could of had something to do with it. It6 would be great if you could make us a really quality render engine plug-in for Carrara!Hint, hint. I'll re-render this today several times and see what I can end up with, thanks for your help.
