Subject: Poser 11 on MacOS Tahoe?

false1 ( ) posted Thu, 25 June 2026 at 2:02 PM Β· edited Tue, 18 August 2026 at 2:07 AM

Hi all, I'm running Poser 11 on Mac Sequoia but thinking of upgrading to Mac Tahoe, the latest OS. Yeah, the interface is all broken now but I've figured a way to tame it long enough to export props and figures to Blender. So I'm wondering if Poser 11 will function at all in Tahoe. If it doesn't I may upgrade anyway, just wondering what to expect. Thx.

I guess no one is foolish enough to try using an ancient version of Poser on a modern MacOS other than me. Fortunately Daz can use most of my ancient Poser content, though there are some morph packages that don't work. And I only use either to export content to Blender. I can't say you're losing a customer since I had no plans to buy an updated version (especially as Bondware is kicking Mac users to the curb.) I'll still have fond memories of Poser though, like my first girlfriend, (who also kicked me to the curb, lol.) I'll upgrade my OS and see what happens and move forward either way. Best wishes to the Poser community, I'll see you later I guess.

I seem to be somewhat late to respond: I have Tahoe, but my downloads for Poser11 are Windows based and I can't find any P11 based on Bondware's downloads page, so that I can't test. But: one of the reasons why Bondware is stopping Poser on Mac at V13 is that Apple is constantly breaking the compatibility with what they call "old stuff", for a so convenient explanation:  security reasons. If I'm not wrong, one customer said somewhere here that he had difficulties to run P11 (or was it an older version?) once a major upgrade happened on his Mac.

False1, which Mac model are you running Poser on? If your system is able to add a second drive, I'd install Tahoe on that if I were you. I own a 2010 Mac Pro tower and am running Poser 11 on it within High Sierra, but plan to install Sequoia on the second drive so I can run Poser 13 on it in the near future as well as a stripped-down version of Windows so I can use Ken1171_Design's Windows-only Poser scripts, especially the one for converting DAZ props to Poser format.
