Subject: Poser and Genesis 8

I do not know if this is the right forum for this, but I came across the following today -https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/171252/ritual-poses-for-genesis-8-and-81

All promo images for this product rendered in Daz Studio 4.15 with Iray render engine.
All raw renders postworked in Flux: added hairs, clothes, jewerly and backgrounds.
I also used my own morphs for Genesis 8.1 to fix the Hip, Legs and Feets issues in poses with her extreme ugly bending.
I made the morphs in Poser Morphing Tooljust for these promos.

I had no idea that you could create morphs in Poser for Genesis 8 or any version of Genesis. Am I miss understanding what the vendor is saying?

You can get Genesis 8 into Poser; it isn't an easy process, and you can use either one of two methods if you still own DSON and Poser 11. The second method involves converting the model from DAZStudio to Poser, but I need to find how that is performed. I do have a copy of Genesis 8 in my runtime.

The only way I can think of doing this is to export the DAZ Studio project as a CR2. Open the CR2 in Poser and do the morphs. Resave the CR2. Then open the revised CR2 in DAZ Studio.

But the bigger question is the product. If the figures were morphed in Poser "just for the promos", then how can we see the actual poses furnished with the product? I'm confused.

EDIT TO ADD:  The paths to the DAZ content will need to be added to the Poser library, I believe.  I have to test that and will update.

My apologies, saving as CR2 and loading it to Poser is a lot more involved than I thought.  I don't use Poser often any more, so I'm way out of the loop. Sorry 8-(

I really appreciate the responses because I was very confused when I read the information.

Posing Genesis 8 is not easy in Poser if you attempt to apply poses from other figures (i.e., Victoria 4). It is a complete disaster.

Something that is possible inside DS is to  save a pose file in Poser format. It is unusual these days for this to occur for figures from the genesis platform. It would certainly be easier than transferring Genesis 9 to Poser.

Pen--how do you do this? (save a poser pose in DS?)  thanks  -j-

The poses shown in the promos are the exact thing that is inside the product, it was tested thoroughly and the tester made sure that the poses that were shown in the promos were the same as offered in the product.

Correcting bending issues on figures created by Daz is nothing new - for years and years I used the Simple Details V4 by Corvas on my figures in promos because the bends in V4 looked odd sometimes and this tool help make it smoother and more natural looking.  Corvas has also created the same products for LF and LH.

Also, the poses that are included in this product are all shown in the last lightbox so that the buyer can see exactly what they are getting :)

Hope this helps clear up any confusion around if what is shown is what is received.

Thanks

Tima

>>> Also, the poses that are included in this product are all shown in the last lightbox so that the buyer can see exactly what they are getting :)

Unfortunately they are all shown on one 1600x1600 image. Each square is less than 230 x 230 pixels. That makes very difficult to see exactly what you are getting. 8-)
