Subject: Queue Manager

Is anyone else having issues with Queue Manager in P14?

When I send a render sequence to Queue, P13 opens, rather than P14 Queue Manager. After that, it won't run in Queue Manager at all. Worse, it's also deleting entire project files. That's really odd.

Also, what happened to the option to render image files, rather than make a movie?

There must be a setting for these things, somewhere, or is this ANOTHER issue that requires a ticket?

Ugh!

Now it's using Queue Manager 14 (all of a sudden), but every time I send an animation over there, it says "Waiting . . . ."

Apparently, an uninstall and reinstall restored Queue Manager functionality. Never mind!

Are you making a movie?  Because that should be the only reason for that to pop up.  On the Movie Setting window at the top is where u select the name and location for the frames/film to be located. At the bottom right under "After Encoding Image Sequence" are three check boxes.  And to the left is another check box to Auto Make movie. If all you want are the frames then make sure those check boxes are unchecked, except possibly Open folder after Encoding as that will open the folder and show all the frames.  Basically, Poser has been using this method since at least Poser 13.  what happens is that all the frames are made and depending on the check boxes will either be deleted or kept.  Some people just want a MP4 file and want to delete the frames needed to make that file, while others want to transfer those images into some other program.  This allows for both types of wants.  Poser has always need to make all the single images in order to make the MP4 file, but a lot of people never saw those results.  This new way allows the program to make al the frames and then make the movie and then delete them.  The old method had the problem that you could have been trying to make a 500 frame movie and Poser died at frame 489.  old method you had to start over from frame 1.  this new method just start from the last frame and then tell Poser to make a movie with all the frames in the location.
