There'll be a docking port and airlock designed to fit the taxi. The Stombecker model had a large horn-shaped structure that might have been for docking. I won't be incorporating that.

That rotating station idea keeps coming back for a reason.In keeping with mid-20th century space technology concepts: Werner von Braun wrote about a space station in Collier's magazine. He later described a nuclear-powered station for a TV series. In 1958 Strombecker released a plastic model of this station. The station rotated to produce artificial gravity. The many spokes are not structural; they're actually a radiator to cool the reactor.
