can you use G8.1 skin and body morphs on G8f?

How could this be done if possible?

Skins (textures) not if they use the Gensis 8.1 UVs, morphs yes since the emsh is the same. But why would you want to? You are doing a lot of manual work to mimic what is automatic with 8.1 (the differences are the surface groups and the extra UV set, plus the different expression set-up but you can quite easily make the Genesis 8 expression available to 8.1).

Yeah I can't really imagine a reason to do this, they have the same geometry, just a small difference in materials and UV map.

ok I have some very nice payed for stuff that was supposed to work on both g8f-g8.1f,and the character is g8f the skin texture is sweet this is why. I've never had the inclination  to use g8.1f as of this time.

thank's

The only actual differences between 8 and 8.1 are the divisions into surface groups and the different expression controls (driving the same bones) - the latter is pretty trivial to reverse.

Daz Studio has a utility you can use called Map Transfer. As long as the figure is mapped for the UV templates you want to convert, it's fairly easy.

WPGuru makes great tutorials for this kind of thing.
