Subject: Poser Animation Gallery?

Is there a site somewhere whose purpose is to showcase animations made in Poser?

I tried searching the Gallery on this site for "animations", but nothing clickable comes up. Just a bunch of photos which seem not to link to anything. Puzzling....

Tried YouTube and found a few Poser made animations, but it's mostly tutorials. Same for Google searches.

Yes Tricky I show some attempts at animation with poser, on a channel you tube. I was think we should have a channel. Don't you Renderosity? https://youtu.be/0hHehDZ87Gw will take you to my work. I joined a poser group on Face Book but got short shrift they apparently are only in poser for Renders? very odd as its an animation programme Perhaps we could open Animation for Poser Users ? if is interested.

So Poser's been around for 25 years, and Poser animations seem hard to come by. Hmm....

The Poser tutorials I've found on YouTube are great, and to my mind suggest Poser would be a fun animation tool. I felt like I knew how to animate after just one video. Definitely way easier than my animation experience with Daz.

So after 25 years, why aren't there zillions of Poser animations all over the place???

Search Google for "poser animations". Lots of tutorials and sales pages. No animation galleries, that I can see.

What do I need to be learning here?

Believe it or not the Anoraks give me the impression this is their tool, honestly ask to many questions and you don't fit in! (I joined a poser group on Face Book but got short shrift they apparently are only in for poser for Renders? very odd as its an animation programme) I like to think Poser is the best, for my educational work at the museum. We have had no exaggeration over 4millon people see my very clunky poser work. Every year the commissions roll in, why should I worry. However lets stay in touch and see if renderosity.com put up an animation site for Poser, as I say there may be a sight for animation poser but I have no idea where it is.Clo-Jam-sit-glassT2.0001.png

Thanks for engaging this topic saibabameuk, appreciate it. Maybe we can engage Renderosity staff in this too. To that end, here's a proposal.

How about a YouTube channel called something like Poser Animations? Each playlist can be by a different artist. One playlist could be dedicated to animations by Renderosity staff. One playlist could be for animation tutorials. Staff could pick their favorites from the channel and highlight them here on Renderosity.

The point here of course is that if Renderosity wishes to sell animation software, it's going to help to be able to show inspiring examples of Poser animations in action. It would help even more to be able to show animations from NEW users, who could say things like, "I made this animation after using Poser for only 2 weeks!"

I did a quick search of the Daz YouTube channel, and they have an animation tutorial or two, but no animation galleries that I can see. Somebody correct me if I missed it please.

I made a good faith effort to learn Daz animation for 3-4 months a few years back. I was able to make some novice level animations, but I never was able to enjoy the software. When I asked questions on the forum more experienced users took me aside and said things like, "Look dude, hardly anybody uses Daz for animation." Best I could tell, Daz is primarily for still renders, and the animation system is kind of an hacked add-on they tacked on to the system just so they could say that Daz will animate.

The point here is that if Poser wishes to distinguish itself from Daz a focus on animation might help a good bit. I haven't used Poser yet, but from what I can see from the excellent tutorials on YouTube the animation interface on Poser seems far more inviting than what Daz offers. Some of the Poser still renders I've seen are impressive, so I don't see why Poser couldn't be used for quality animations.

The one question pestering my mind with doubts is, why wasn't all this done years ago? After 25 years, why isn't the Net already flooded with Poser animations? Or if it is, where the heck are they? Hopefully I'm just dense about finding stuff and that's the problem....

Thank you for posting those 2 Poser videos. Nice work, and it helped me see the voice sync in action. Good job on the story telling.

So I'm now wondering if anyone on the Rendo team is making Poser animations?
