Blender F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2026 Jun 05 7:19 am)
So I watched this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TI55AMr0fK4
I actually have Blender version 2.79, but seemingly that doesn't affect the process the video is explaining.
I followed along with the video's instructions, so now all of the bones are in the correct places, but they still don't move the character.
How can I fix this? Does it have to do with the version of Blender that I'm using?
Also, any other suggestions to fix this problem are obviously welcome.
Exporting FBX from Daz Studio to Blender always seems to be a sort of hit or miss and have seen numerous tutorials on the subject I know of two potential tools that might help one can be found in the Blender Artist forums call Khalibloo-panel it is has been actively developed and there is allot of information on how to use it but again it is at the Blender Artist forum the other tool is called Diffeomorphic This tool is in version 1.4 not sure if that is specific for Blender 2.8 but there is still a version 1.3 that is for Blender 2.79 The site has allot of information on how to use the add-on I have not personally experimented with it hope these help

The Khalibloo-panel only works up to Genesis 3 currently I do not think it supports Genesis 8 so that can be the issue there as to the Diffeomorphic which version are you using and double check that you have the most current version of Java installed forgot to mention that since .json files are actually Java script files and having the current version of java does help and actually having both 32 bit and 64 bit version of Java installed on your system should cover you fully since some of the Java script files are not always compatible with both 32/64 bits some are exclusive to 32 and some to 64

When I export an FBX file from DAZ 3D and open the FBX file in Blender, the model's rig comes out all messed up. Why? How can I fix it?
