Suggestion Box F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2026 Apr 07 9:56 am)
This forum is designed for suggestions from the community on how you feel we can improve Renderosity.
Addition to above - the reason for above suggestion is I think a lot of people be feel quilty about using post work, photo bashing or picking a technology which is not widely accepted. If the general idea is "we don't care how its created provided its your work" it would make more enjoyable and rewarding for everyone.
I could see some advantages to this, certainly calming the Ds vs P crowd a bit .... the downside would be people questioning how much is 3d art, versus painting on a photograph. Maybe a category of posting just "art" (in quotes not to be sarcastic but art can be very subjective so it's open to the artist to decide). I don't really see the bickering going on over at Deviant Art or Pinterest. I'm certain it's there, but there's so much content that's not specifically labeled.
The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

Suggestion - ban all reference to the technology used to create an image, no more Poser, Daz, Vue etc. Subject criterial would only be on general areas like themes like atmosphere, people, fantasy/ sci fi etc.
The thought is if we move away from the technology members will become more interested in the fundementals like composition and the overall quality of the image and less competative of issues they have no control of like render engine technologies etc. Not sayning we can't discuss technology but its no longer a dividing line between members when posting images.
