@airflamesred: haha, thanks my friend! I did post in the 3d modeling forum too, because I felt these tips could be universally useful.
@bandolin: Thank you very much! I plan to do some more this weekend.

Hey guys, I just uploaded an additional video, which demonstrates yet another simple technique to quad-capping a cylinder in Max, which is also compatible with Blender and many other polygonal modeling packages. The technique in this latest video is by far the easiest of them all, and arguably provides the most useful topological result, barring the use of scripts or plugins.
Hopefully the information in these videos will help you, in some small way, with your subdivisional modeling workflow.

Attached Link: Quad-Capping A Cylinder (Several Polygon Techniques)
Hi, everyone. Wanted to share a new tutorial video I uploaded, which demonstrates a few techniques which could be used to easily create a 100% quad cylinder, for use in subdivisional modeling. Potentially, these methods could also come in handy for capping ***any*** circular mesh hole with quadrilateral faces. While I am working in this video with 3dsmax 2012, the procedures used here should be easily performed in any version of 3dsmax which supports Edit Poly and Loop Tools. This is the first video tutorial I've created with audio narration, so please excuse my offensive voice.
Hope you find this useful in some way. Thanks.
